OUR HISTORY

Irwin, Jackson & Wang, Certified Public Accountants started in 1979 when Daniel Irwin and Steven Jackson had an entrepreneurial seizure.  They decided, along with another young CPA, that they should have their own company to provide tax, audit and accounting services to other small businesses in the central valley of California.

The firm grew slowly until 1983 when computer bookkeeping with a “mini” computer became popular and economical.  The practice grew to over 20 staff by 1986.  Sadly it had grown to a point where the owners missed the direct customer contact and friendship with the individual customers.

In 1990 the company was downsized by shedding auditing and the large bookkeeping practice.  Daniel and Steven found the smaller more intimate practice more to their liking and have grown consistently since then.

Today the firm’s focus is on small businesses and professionals and emphasizes accounting solutions that are custom fit to each customer’s life.
